Soccer Outreach
Posted on November 21, 2011
On Friday the Cross to Light Bible Training Center did a soccer outreach in the tent city very close to the church. We had a gospel soccer marathon. We played worship music, preached the gospel, played a game, preached the gospel, played another game, preached the gospel and invited the crowed to bring friends to church to hear the good news!
The gospel message had a great response – many were saved. We gave out food and some gifts to the people, and then it rained! Praise the LORD!

Israel worked to the last minute to win UN recognition in 1947 when the United Nations, approved Resolution 181 for the creation of Israel, the Jewish State.
Realizing it lacked three votes, Israeli delegates focused on Haiti, Liberia and the Philippines.
Israeli representatives sent a Protestant minister, Sheldon, who favored a homeland for Jews, to Haiti to gain its support. On Wednesday before Thanksgiving they came back and said Haiti will vote for Israel.
Haiti was the last country to come to vote.
Port au Prince, Haiti, September 24, 2011
The Lord provided an opportunity for Pastor Brian to speak in front of the Haitian Government.
He explained that, they need God’s help to rebuild Haiti. And God said in his word that if they SUPPORT ISRAEL AS A NATION then God will bless them. When I finished telling them they kept clapping and clapping. Then they invited me to speak on the radio and TV to explain to Haiti why they need to support Israel. Lord thank You for the opportunity to stand up for the Jewish people. Lord we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Lord we pray for her to prosper because we love her.
He also explained the past success of the U.S. has come directly from being an ally to Israel and (at least initially) basing our legal system on biblical principles. He exhorted them to support and stand by Israel.
Yesterday Pastor Brian was televised on why to support Israel. They gave him one hour. Everyone was excited and the exhortation was well received. The Lord did some amazing things right after. The Lady who owns the station is a Catholic.
Today we led her to the Lord. She was so excited, they asked us if I could bring the students on the station to do worship followed by a Gospel message. We will be going on soon.
Port au Prince, Haiti: Bible Training Center
The Harvest mission team headed by Larry Robillard have been at the Bible Training Center for the week. It has been such a huge blessing – like the bride of Christ has come in to help the man that was beaten in the good Samaritan parable. Christ through His bride has wrapped His loving arms around the team, staff and students of the Training Center and has impacted many that are at the church and in the tent cities.
Before that Cornerstone Calvary Chapel of New Jersey came out- it is truly amazing what the Lord is doing.
I would highly recommend this ministry to anyone who desires to have their life radically impacted for the Lord! Working with Brian McDaniel is one of the most exciting times I have had on a missions trip and I have gone to many places in the world. I pray that this ministry be blessed and reach many people in Haiti for Christ. Pastor Chris McCarrick

Haiti Last Country to Vote for Israel State in 1947
Posted on October 6, 2011
Israel worked to the last minute to win UN recognition in 1947 when the United Nations, approved Resolution 181 for the creation of Israel, the Jewish State.
Realizing it lacked three votes, Israeli delegates focused on Haiti, Liberia and the Philippines.
Israeli representatives sent a Protestant minister, Sheldon, who favored a homeland for Jews, to Haiti to gain its support. On Wednesday before Thanksgiving they came back and said Haiti will vote for Israel.
Suzy Eban, wife of Abba Eban, who then was a liaison officer to the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine, related on a Toldot Yisrael video how Israelis worked to gain the needed two-thirds majority for United Nations recognition as a state.
Haiti was the last country to come to vote.
The final vote on that historic Saturday night was 33-13, with 10 abstentions.
I remember the excitement, she said. This was our life. In the car on the return to Manhattan from the United Nations building, then located at Lake Success, New York, No one said a word. It was overpowering.

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

From Pastor Brian
There is a family of 5; a widow and four little kids that the Lord has had on my heart for a long time. They are our neighbors. The Mom is gone for most of the day going out to find enough work to pay for rice for the day. The kids are ages two to eight and fend for themselves all day alone.
One day I went by this family to check on them and see how they are doing. They had wrist bands on their hands. An NGO had come by and tagged them. The next day they were taken to a remote village and given a hut. Their tent was torn down. This may seem like a good thing but in the tent cities the people are very close and work together. If one family is out of food another will share what they have. Everyone helps each other out. That is how they are surviving.
When this woman and her children were displaced they were brought into a new environment that provided no means for survival. No way to obtain food or water. They found a way back to their broken down tent. It took them 4 hours of travelling. I put them in one of the Training Center rooms temporarily and then found them a small place to live. The rent is $350 for one year. Cross to Light paid the rent for them for the year and they have moved in. They are so happy and grateful. We also give them a food allowance to help sustain them.
The little girls are so on fire for the Lord and so thankful. While they were at the training center there was a tropical storm. I went to go check on them. All of them were on one bunk bed, sitting up praising and worshiping the Lord. The next day one of the little girls kept raising up her bottle of water to me, so thankful because she had never had a clean glass of water before.
Praise God that He has provided for this family and cares about them.

New Church Plant
A big “Thank you” to Anthony, Robert, Brandon and others who came out and helped build up a wall on the new church building. They kept their building tools in one hand and the Word of God in the other, building and praising together. The new church is a huge blessing. Many people are coming to the Lord and being built up.

40′ Container
2 months from vision to launch. It’s truly amazing. The Lord put it on Kevin Springer’s heart, an engineer that lives in Southern California, to load up a container of supplies for Haiti. In just 2 months the Lord orchestrated the entire project. We obtained a 40 foot container. Jimmy from Mariners jumped in to help. Jim Utterback offered to provide warehouse space for the supplies. Volunteers came in to palletize and prepare. Many companies and people donated their time and resources. The supplies poured in. The final load day came and a strong team of eight packed in the supplies. It’s departing Long Beach this week and is expected to arrive in Port au Prince, Haiti mid-October. For He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could think or ask.

Toyota Truck
We have found a truck for the Training Center. The vehicle we have, an Isuzu Trooper has been ok but is not off-road worthy and has been very expensive to maintain as the “roads ” in Port au Prince are a daily off-road excursion. This has been one of our largest expenses and we are also in need of larger capacity for the airport pick-ups and drop-offs of teams. We were provided with another truck and are now in the process of shipping it.

Port au Prince – Haiti Bible Training Center
Personal Story from Pastor Brian: A few weeks ago there was a little boy that said his family needed help. I had walked by before and had seen the father beating the wife. I didn’t know at first that the boy belonged to this family. I had witnessed to the father previously after the beating incident. He had been humbled and received Christ. The little boy took me to his house to talk to his mom. She was sick. She had been poisoned with sinai. She had gone to the witch doctor that morning. They said they needed money to cure her. I told her the witch doctor cannot help her. I told her the only one that can help you is Jesus Christ. She said she had to go ask her husband if she could accept Jesus Christ. After a long time and a long discussion with her husband she came back and said that yes she could receive Christ. While praying with the Mom, right after I said “Jesus rose from the dead”. She got totally full of conviction and was crying loudly. She was humbled and sincere. It was beautiful. The whole family has a fresh new start to a live a new life praise God.
Another of our students, Charles Watson had to leave the Training Center because his little two year old sister was in a coma and had been bleeding from her nose and mouth. He left at night to go pray and help and the very next day she was healed!
Pastor Brian is in the States for a week or two out of every month. If you would like him to come to your church to share about stepping out in faith, how to share your faith and some praise reports about what the Lord is doing in Haiti please contact us.
Teaching Praise Report

Handing out clothes.
Bruce Sherbourne recently came out to teach through Job to our students. He brought his sixteen year old son, Landon. We were very blessed to have them both and the students were strengthened by the teaching and outreaches that they did together.
Here’s what Bruce had to say about his time there:
The trip to Haiti was a life changing experience for both Landon and I. The students blessed us so richly with their hunger and thirst for God’s word. I spent twenty hours teaching the book of Job and the Lord worked in all of our hearts as we dug deeply into this book about God’s sovereignty and true faith.
After teaching, we spent time in the tent cities serving the poor and needy. We preached the gospel regularly, fed the hungry, and clothed the naked, but most importantly we allowed Jesus to reveal His love for these precious people through us. One day we brought dresses to the naked little girls and watched with awe as we saw Jesus work His love through us practically by clothing them.
The Lord Jesus led us to one Christian family in a tent city who had four kids and a desperate need for clothing, food and water. The father told our translator that they had not eaten for two days. We were able to cloth his family and we had the father come to the training center and we provided food and water.
Relief Aid Outreach to Haitian Girls
Posted on June 27, 2011
Near the end of the week we were able to meet up with another ministry who had brought in hundreds of hand-made dresses. Some ladies from North Carolina were there who had made the dresses and they wanted to be a part of distributing them inside a tent city. We met them and brought them into one of the largest tent cities. They handed out the dresses, kissing and praying over each precious little girl. The crowd grew so large the ladies had to retreat into a nearby hospital. We were able to quiet the crowd and Pastor Brian gave the gospel message and a call to receive Christ. Hundreds committed themselves to Jesus. The crowd dispersed in peace. The ladies were so blessed.
Thank you for all of you who pray for this part of the ministry – please keep lifting up the Bible Training Center in your prayers. Zec 4:6 Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.
